The basic purpose of the seminar remains unchanged, an occasion for all of those in Europe interested in teaching and learning the Science, Technology and Applications of GIS to meet to share ideas, best practice, innovation, the odd confession and possibly a drink or two. The social aspect will be important as this will be a meeting of old and new friends with a shared interest and passion.
The specific focus of the 2012 edition of the seminar is the search for boundaries of the GIS educational playing field. Which organisational, technical, geographical and content-wise elements can be incorporated in a meaningful way in GIS-education? Which should be avoided?
